Take a catnap on the porch. Start a new book. Fully enjoy and savor those first few pages.
Pick vegetables from the garden. Eat a light and healthy meal. Maybe garnish it with some edible flowers. Immediately you’ll feel nourished.

Let your body rest for as long as it needs to. Wake up slowly with the sun. Contemplate leaving bed, but take your sweet time. There is no rush.
Make coffee with your Dad. Enjoy the ritual. Refrain from suggesting a more modern espresso machine.
Sit on the porch and watch the clouds dance over the hills in front of you. Forget about time. Worry about nothing.
Put down your phone. Be present with your family. When you leave, you’ll wish it had lasted just a little bit longer.
Notice the colors in the sky and the changes in the air at dusk. Take it in. Here you are, fully present and at peace. This is how you come home.
